Project Description: Recipe Magazine Layout

In GRC 318 - Digital Typography, we explored the art and science of typography using modern software tools for print and digital publishing. The course focused on communication principles and visual organization, emphasizing professional design practices for the creative publishing industry.

For this project, I created a set of recipe pages that were printed out in a small booklet. The process began with mood-boarding to establish the visual style, followed by drafting layouts and designing the pages. We were tasked with baking the actual recipe and photographing the process. Finally, I combined the photos, typography, and layout design into a polished magazine spread. This project was a great way to merge creativity and technical skills in a real-world publishing scenario. The best part was the showcase at the end of the quarter, seeing what my peers created.
